Be Hated

It's not as easy as it sounds. Do you know anyone who hates you? Yet every great figure who has contributed to the human race has been hated, not just by one person, but often by a great many. That hatred is so strong it has caused those great figures to be shunned, abused, murdered and in one famous instance, nailed to a cross.

One does not have to be evil to be hated. In fact, it's often the case that one is hated precisely because one is trying to do right by one's own convictions. It is far too easy to be liked, one merely has to be accommodating and hold no strong convictions. Then one will gravitate towards the centre and settle into the average. That cannot be your role. There are a great many bad people in the world, and if you are not offending them, you must be bad yourself.

Popularity is a sure sign that you are doing something wrong.


It is part of an inspiring speech "Don't work. Avoid Telling the Truth. Be Hated. Love Someone" I read long time ago. Just recalled it, thx to Wen Jian.

A Note to You

My dear comm.,

Preparation for events is always taxing in any club/company, especially when you are the head of the event. Just bear with it and think positively. After events ended, look back, you will be glad that you have actually been able to cope with it and gone through it. Sense of fulfillment will be there waiting for you. Your hard work is then regconised.

Friday night and today

Have had a reunion dinner with 3ers yest night.
a simple but nice dinner with 933 golden pillow curry chicken bun, palace emperor chicken, Yu Sheng and other stuffs.
Watched Taiwan entertainment show- Super Match together.
Stayed up till late night.
Ended up sleeping at ard 3am.
My plan to go JB city square today was cancelled then.
Woke up at 2pm+ today. I realised that sleeping to much is tiring actually...
after lunch and a short discussion with IET king loong, I m here doing blogging now.

I am yet to post up my Vietnam trip photos :P. the mood is just not there to blog it event though I have free time. I think I will not be able to do it until after Feb coz my IA project should be starting officially after CNY and IET has got two events going on. Merely replying emails will take away my one whole night after IA.

I shall stop here as I need to meet up with Bood and Ryan for dinner. :)

I am back to NTU again. Back to settle unfinished stuff before going for Vietnam Trip.

Just finished a NTU campus tour for MMU IET Student Section.

They are very enthusiastic and nice people. :)

Feel joy when being with a bunch of people because I have been homesick since I came back.

Anticipating for Vietnam Trip! Departing on 16 Dec and coming back on 21 Dec.
